Alexia Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Alexia

Alexia

Her face and, body, hair
-were show of Spring
-Summer-Fair

Beauty, attraction
-everywhere, all over

Her smile, honey-jar
-her teeth, pearls and diamond

Her blood sure Greek
-obvious by last name

Their house both
-outside and its inside
-talked of wealth and well-off

"I've counted, is correct."
-said she and emptied a full-palm
-into his, facing up…

Plenty was the change
-Dimes, Nickels, Quarters

Was too much, some dollars
- "Trust you, " he murmured, departed

Later on, when counted
-found it short by dollar

Did not mean to return!

He whispered:
- "Civilized and modern! No respect! "

Felt pity for the girl
- "Is around thirty and
-still lives with parents
-excellent her clothes
-but is thief and liar, unable
-to make, fix some omelette! "
