Alice Invited Me To Her Wonderland

Rating: 5.0

alone i was in a desert clouded by sand
lingering tired and thirsty was i
when you invited me to your wonderland
and gave me a sip when time was nigh

i asked myself what i've got
what i have now and what i had not

you gave me strength to carry on
you gave me hope for tomorrow
but as life goes on
the happy days turn to sorrow

you gave me so much that made me feel a man
you made me do things i never thought i can

i keep wondering..can a day or two change one's fate
is life that simple not to plan or follow a certain date

i know your eyes may never see mine
i know that your days i'll never share
though you'll always stay in mind
and your photo that i'll always stare

i close my eyes and think of you
and fantasize what might have been
i can still see your smile so true
i can feel your tender skin

i love you so much but it seems
this love lives only in my dreams
i know my love for you is not a crime
it's just a victim of tradition and time

i always thought love was great
as great as a castle that needed much time
a fortress that was built to withstand
then you built me a castle within a chime
so fabulous but made of sand

so small so weak to live for long
yet as sweet as a place from heaven
it's not a fortress it's not that strong
so delicate it was that crazy i was driven

this castle of ours may not live forever
but its grains of sand shall vanish never
