I am too old to have a husband and,
I am still unmarried;
So i keep on crying looking for my lover,
For i want to be with a man before my death.
To the land of the east,
To the land of the west,
To the land of the north,
And to the land of the south;
Yokshan begot Sheba and Dedan but,
Who will come to my aid?
Seven ewe lambs,
To the well of the oath;
Of a Tamarisk tree,
To the well of the seven;
And i am still in the wilderness of Beersheba like,
Alima in the wonderland of husbands.
