All Hallows Eve Poem by Jules Mcquistan

All Hallows Eve

From costumes and candy,
Sweet childish memories
To Scary movies past midnight,
Watched with good friends

I once loved Halloween
What was a day of fun
Has turned to tears
And old memories

One good friend, got lost
He put a rope around his neck
And breathed his last breath
On that dreadful night

Another friend, old friend
Became a childhood memory
When he put a bullet in his brain
Good memories are now tainted

The past is no longer fun,
And costumes and candies
Only remind me of what is lost
Halloween is sad, and avoided

Those old memories burn in my mind
And I choose to stay home
On that wretched night
All Hallows Eve
