All I Needed Was A Call Poem by Ashwin Satyal

All I Needed Was A Call

All I needed was a call,
All I needed was a smile from you.
Blowing up a midnight cigarette,
All I needed was a reason to forget you.

You know, all I needed was a call,
A call to end up all the mess.
Babe, all I needed was you,
Never shall I forget a smile on your face.

Its been a year,
But seems like ages,
Its raining like hell,
But even the rain can’t quench my thirst for you.
All I needed was a call from you.

But I guess this is it,
I paid my price.
Hell no, its not like rolling a dice.
So give me a chance.
A chance to leave you.
Leave you forever.
Ever and ever.
I wish I could change my past,
I wish I could steal my present,
And I wish I could lie my future.
But don’t you ever think I’ll let you fall,
Babe, all I needed was a call...
