All in one day, I learnt all that in my life,
Nor the sharpest of the swords or the devil's knife
Can pierce my knowledge of a day,
As I and others lay.
I learnt that there's no better fruit than that of the nature
And no better life than that of a free man with pleasure,
But not of wealth with strives and strained bonds
Or fake love of fake people who flatters me by their sweet songs.
And what a man has got,
When he has no belief in him?
Or what battles have been fought
For equality or for the sake of acting as the people's rim?
But now, a day's span has out-spanned my life
Be it in knowledge, be it in a fruitful slice.
I shall never forget the days of knowledge
Given by my Lord, our God, to acknowledge!
