All Is In Vain Poem by Phillip Nine Mafunga

All Is In Vain

Rating: 1.0

Men, for fame, will lie
Leaving many to cry
In pursuit of the limits of the sky
In the process, the gullible die

You ride the tide of fame
Personal pride to tame
Thus shielding self from shame
For at the end, all is in vain

The law builds prisons
However, the evil make the laws for reasons
Then the righteous lose their seasons
In the process of trying to explain their visions

Tell a good story to a fool
Disdain will spoil the public pool
For, there's no wisdom in school
But on the vain looking lap of the old, it's plentiful
