All Of The Lights Poem by C.B.A. Reiss

All Of The Lights

Rating: 4.0

I lost other rhymes when I thought I found you.
You and your lights green or blue
But now they're back and your lights have faded
along with the summer and the songs that made it.
Along with the hand you held in my sleep
along with the story I couldn't keep.
You dried my eyes quick as a beam
continue to darken a corner of a dream
I'm too empty to try and say anymore
too full of the light we played in before.
So you be the one who knows what to say
take my hand and continue what may
be better than what you think of as certain
you're not a light you're just some person

great job merging content with technique - not too over-complicated...just right. flows very well! -RQ-
