All Of You Are The Same Poem by RIC BASTASA

All Of You Are The Same

you post your family
picture
on Christmas day
a son a daughter
your wife
all in red and smiling
in different poses
as though i do not know
that the rest of the
year
the disputes are not
over.

do you want to
be envied? do you want
to make believe?
do you want to give
us all
(whom you call as the
lonely people)
a fairy tale?

come on
life is not what it used to be
not that hard
anyway
but just don't keep away from
these realities

boats with anchor
cannot tell about another
adventure
