Like birds that travel every season
And never come back,
They go in search of reason
Why they lack.
Always they say:
"Life is unfair"
And always I say, "nay,
Life is most fair".
They tell you they have proof and say:
"Why is Dull Henry born a king
And Wise David made his valet? "
This is my retort: "Henry doesn't know a thing".
Again, they cry, "why is Peter, a known womanizer,
Rich and famous,
The president's adviser,
And Paul, a faithful amongst us
Is not recruited for his place? "
But I'd say, "you do not know
That with that rank, Peter has purchased Aids
And perchance, to old age Paul shall grow".
They ask why Cain, the richest man in town
Is childless, and Abel, a well-known pauper
Has more kids than his eyes can count.
Here is an answer: "perhaps Cain becomes a proper,
Generous gentleman because of his state
And Abel's crowd brings him much joy throughout his poor life".
One must learn to be grateful
For what God has given them
For every one would be most thankful
To know what tragedy God had denied them, thus
If it is not, it is best that it isn't!

I would like to translate this poem
One must learn to be grateful For what God has given them For every one would be most thankful If only they knew what tragedy God had denied them, thus If it is not, it is best that it isn't! .....i liked these lines most. And I too was thinking on same line some day back. God is always fair we don't see them.
After all, we're mere mortals! Thanks for communicating!
