All That There Was, Is, Will Be Poem by Zara O

All That There Was, Is, Will Be

Over the precipice
And out of the known
If you're all that's left
Who am I to say no

My mind is wasted on all that won't grow
So take that one for me
And I'll take this one for the road

If I'm all that's left
Then who's left here for me
I don't recognise these souls
And I feel lonely in my sleep

Yes I was broken
And yes I was bruised
But one thing I'm not
Is lost in defeat

Cos here still I stand
And here still I breathe
And that is one thing
That I won't let them take from me

Now that it's over
And now that I'm free
Where do I go?
What's this force guiding me?

I feel protected
And loved
It's really all that there was
The universe is I
The universe is us

Good work. Alive, well expressed can be humanly and poetically, felt. Love the optimism at the end,
