Allen Ginsberg In Search Of Guru Poem by Bijay Kant Dubey

Allen Ginsberg In Search Of Guru

In search of peace, in search of happiness,
In search of occult wisdom,
Thought and idea,
Where the search bought you to,
You
A bohemian,
A hippie,
A rebel,
A counter culture fellow,
A leftist,
A revolutionary,
One recuperating from addiction,
A poet and a visionary,
A traveller
Wandering from ashrama to ashrama
In search of peace, mental peace
Moving from Calcutta to Benares to the Himalayas,
Saying guru, guru, Om-Om
Krishna-Krishna, Ram-Ram,
Living in the company of gurus, sadhus and fakirs,
The Beat Movement fellow,
A Beatle
Allen.
