Alleviate Battering - Poem by Terence George Craddock (Spectral Images and Images Of Light)
Mine Mine Life
a history of squalls
battered from storm
through succeeding storm.
Colliding circumvent fate
decreed motive struggle.
Crawl out through
skeletal ribs
infested choked
salt crusted woodwork.
Life’s work waits
within complexity.
Weatherbeaten must yet
shine shore free.
Pact sworn suffrage
pledged in name
of stranded starving
children's crippling need.
Sailmates to erase
suffering confronting
grave shipwrecks;
words written sand naked.
Before resolute current
irredeemably washes out;
emasculated destitute
survivor’s life-preserver.
