'Almighty Time Will Tell' Poem by Ologunde Joshua Abiodun

'Almighty Time Will Tell'

In oneness we know!
But Isolated we think;
If and if we both know
That we were made for one another
To groove and grow together

You spoke of war
You lament the motives of battle
You speak of the unknown
Hmm! And you play with that giant sorrow called WAR!

I wish you carried the trigger
I would have thought you were in Agu's shoe
I see the insincerity in your lips
All I see is a secret-moulded-motive

You were not a victim;
Yet you speak like a one with age-experience
I see crocodile; am see something
I think am seeing egocentricity, individuality and self-imposium
Lack of unity; this here and this that!
Maybe we need to ask:
Who is the eye? How do we know the Who(s) ?
I hope fidelity can answer without infidelity

Until we disown the cup of injustices;
Until we stand with that love
Bathed on us by our Fathers
Till then, the accolade for our dos;
The almighty time will tell...
