Alone And Inspired Poem by Randy McClave

Alone And Inspired

As I sit alone and unwanted
With 4 dark walls encircling me,
Then I am loudly haunted
With people I can hear, but do not see.
I hear laughs and a conversation
I then wonder why that I do not belong,
Need I have a personal, engraved reservation
In my own home to join in merriment or song.
I bought the food that would be prepared
I supplied my home for the dinner,
My car was used and also shared
As I am the party giver, the breadwinner.
I sit in the backroom now all alone
So, sad and lonely and also very tired,
I let out an unheard solitude moan
For a sad story I am now very inspired.
She told me that her daughters were coming
Of course my advice would not be accepted,
So, my Kalimba I am softly strumming
At least my music would not be intercepted.
I wonder stillon why that I am here
Why I confined myself to these 4 dark walls,
As I drop a moan and still another tear
It is because that I have no balls.
