Alone In The Seashore Poem by preetha manasa

Alone In The Seashore

Rating: 4.5

When the sun bade good-bye to the earth,
When children sat near the hearth,
When the lonely waves roared aloud,
And, when the silver moon shone in gold

When the blue sky turned violet and black,
When the white sands turned brown and slack,
The whole shore was dark;
The calmness rose the voice of the lark.

The place was empty,
But, there was mystery in plenty.
Somewhere, along the corner of the lonely sea,
The wind carried the sailor’s plea.
Their ship rocked left and right,
And, dumped the sailors into the pacific myst.
All had died, but the ship was saved.
The waves gave him company;
Which made him land in harmony.
There he lay alone by the seashore;
With many tears and sorrows in store.
