Alumni Day Poem by Namita Rani Panda

Alumni Day

Hey friends! This year's Alumni Day has already been
announced
The celebration will really be grand
Make sure that each and every one joins the reunion
To go back to our unforgettable heaven
Memories flying wild with ever-widening anticipation
To meet old friends, epitome of boundless affection
Come and relive those moments that have turned past
The moments of cheer and tear that forever last
Let's have unlimited fun as future is uncertain
Who knows for some this chance may not come again
Don't you wish to meet your college queens
Who might be weighing now ninety-nine?
And the handsome heroes who were too proud
Limping with their bent knees and bald head?
I have dyed my hair
and oiled my wheelchair
I'm timely taking my B.P. and sugar pills
Lest I should fall ill
I don't want to miss this chance to relive those naughty ways
I'm anxious to revive those golden days
Won't you take the pain to join the reunion
To have glance of your ever-loving companions?
