Always and forever
It's been twelve amazing years
Through all the ups and downs
All the love, so many tears
Just to be together
We've had to fight so much
Argued over nothing
Craved each others touch
I finally felt like I was human
Re-animated, undefined
Able to feel that raw emotion
Behind the face resides a mind
Fully capable of dreaming
Making decisions on my own
And yet still trying to please the world
A dog is happy with a bone
Wanting to live life as it happens
Feel raindrops falling on my face
To watch the sun break through the clouds
To see the wind and trees embrace
Our two spirits made one soul
Inside one perfect little body
An ancient force gave is the chance
To teach our child to use the potty
Such simple love so pure can only be what you make it
Be happy with your life and be at peace when higher powers choose to take it
