Always In Control Poem by Randy McClave

Always In Control

Maybe not today or even tomorrow
Maybe not even tonight,
But, when you're full of sorrow
The Lord will know when the time is right.
When Elijah had battled depression
God didn't tell him to pray more,
God didn't send an Angel to preach him a lesson
Or to condemn him for feeling that way therefore.
An Angel was sent to comfort while he rested
Elijah was then inspired and reassured,
Knowing in us all that God is truly vested
Then sadness and depression is cured.
I don't know who needs to read or hear this
But, I say this truthfully from the soul,
When the time is right the Lord gives bliss
Sleep in peace tonight, because God is always in control.
