Always Someone Up There

There are times when left alone
My thoughts wander to parts unknown
I wonder how I must leave
This world I’m in, so full of greed.

I know I’m just a traveler
In this journey called life
A loan from Someone, somewhere up high
Only He should say “It’s time! ”

Sometimes the journey is too much for me
The hardships and tasks too much to bear
The heartaches and pains leave me hopeless
But by God, I find ways to survive best!

The weight, at times, would crush my back;
The Herculean tasks I couldn’t grasp;
Some inner force enlightens my mind
When I’m on the verge of taking my life.
