Always Treasured Poem by Ray Hansell

Always Treasured

It was a day
Just like today
When love arrived
Here to stay

The summer sky
The gentle breeze
Put our souls
So much at ease

I took your hand
You looked at me
Then you asked
Is this how it will be?

You holding my hand
As we walk through life
Always loving me
As your wife

I looked at her
Then I replied
I'm here for you
Until the day I die

True love should be
Always treasured
A lasting love
Is the measure

Of a commitment
That exists between two
Spending my life
Loving only you
