Amaryllis Poem by Liza Sud

Amaryllis

I'm enchanted by you like a foe,
Coming either in thunder or silence.
Orange poppy was blooming in you,
And in kloof there were cherry braceletes.

Only you pulled a string to the last,
to the highest exhausting seduction.
swollen cherries have blinded the crag
From a bracelet by their eruption.

It is burning again - Hindustan.
And I will bring to you - Amaryllis,
So that barrow that was left by us
Was not covered by dusty and sweeping

That were swirling around.Only peace
In the desert we leave is abiding.
I drank you to the bottom, but still
Waters in the draw-well are reviving.
