Amaryllis Poem by james watkin

Amaryllis

Suspended, its own sweet breath
Whilst that blows for wind is
Astonishment's longer held gasps
Rare they who inspire this!

If not once, as fair, unfurled
A forelorn lifetime in
These which smile out, sincerely bright
But once a year. In spring.
