Ambulance Escavade Poem by Cassandra Hooper

Ambulance Escavade

I kissed the hole in your head
As the blood stains your skin
I still think you're beautiful
But life is just one big sin
Got the sirens in the background
Got those lights against the glass
People are rushing to the scene
Everyone is moving so fast
And you don't know a thing
Not about this life
Not about the ill escape
Led by guns and a knife
The light behind your eyes
Oh darling I see it fade
I'm still by your side
Despite decisions that you made
Oh God sweetheart they can't find your pulse
Where's the blood that flows through your veins
Just take another breath
Maybe it'll stop the pains
Just know if you stop breathing
I'll stop breathing too
You're not going out without a fight
Oh my god you're turning blue
Why are you so cold
Where's the shimmer in your eyes
I can't focus there's too much blood
The feeling of when a star dies
Dear god where's the ambulance
We need a stretcher right away
Well if you promise to make it through the night
I promise to be there in the day
Just remember you'll always burn bright
