- written in memory of George Floyd (October 14,1973—May 25,2020)

The powerful influence state legislators to pass laws
that militarize the police, that protect police departments
from investigation and prosecution, and that hide police records,
including officer personnel files, from all of us, the public.
The powerful want records of the harm, the violence, the trauma
caused by the police, the perpetrators themselves, to remain secret.
