Americans Voted Poem by Randy McClave

Americans Voted

It's hard for me to believe
But, my eyes and my ears don't deceive,
It's sad for our country to say
How American's voted on Election Day.
Latinos and the Hispanics voted for a racist
Mothers and daughters voted for a rapist,
Union workers voted for a scab
Police officers voted for a criminal they did nab
Soldiers voted for an unpatriotic old codger
Veterans voted for a cowardly draft dodger.
The middle class voted for a billionaire
The poor voted for someone who doesn't care,
And the Christian's voted for a non believer
The churches voted for a liar, a con, a sinful deceiver.
The gullible voted for a liar and a con
And the naive voted for their so called holy one,
The Chinese voted for him without regret
The Russians voted for him because of a debt.
Proud Americans voted for a traitor
Loyal Americans voted for a wannabe dictator,
Americans voted for control, recession, worries and fears
Most Americans voted for it, for the next four years.
These Americans all voted for the very same man
Who always promised he had a better plan,
Only to himself is he only devoted
That is how Americans voted.
