Amongst Us Poem by Randy McClave

Amongst Us

The Bible says angels walk amongst us
And we won't know who it might be,
But, they will follow the teachings of the Lord Jesus
Whether it is a him, or even a she.
Whenever you might be facing danger
And you don't know what to say and you have not a clue,
Then suddenly will arrive that stranger
And they will know exactly what to say and to do.
When you are walking down that road
Over there watching you could be one of them,
The angel who is ready to help you with your load
And will be caring and helpful with no mayhem.
I decided I wanted to be one of them as well
I will be courteous to the people that I meet,
Whenever they need help I'll give a hand not an, "oh well"
On a bus or train I will give a woman or the elderly my seat.
Angels are amongst us both here and there
And they are ready to help with an outstretched hand,
They are an answers to the fallen whispered prayer
Because, they don't ever mind to stand.
They are angels amongst us the Bible does say
They are here to help others to prevail,
And to God our Lord and savior I excitedly do pray
I want to be helpful like an unknown angel as well.
If they need any help I will be there
As I know the Lord would want me to be,
I hope to be the answer to a person's prayer
A smile is all that I hope to see.
