Amy's Free Verse Poem by Joyce Hemsley

Amy's Free Verse

Forty word poem.

'Lowell-Lowell' the poets did say
When Industrial Revolution came to stay.
Concord and Merrimack flowed merrily,
Birds singing songs, children at play.
'Sword Blades and Poppy Seeds'
was Poem of The Day. Life seemed
so gay down Massachusetts' way.
