An Ailing Heart Poem by khalid thepoet

An Ailing Heart

A slumbering heart
Suddenly awoke
After a callous love dart
Its frail wings broke!

Moans, moans, moans
Day and night
Night and day
Oh! Ailing heart!
Hear love's sweet tones!
Let love heal thy wounds

The ailing heart sighs
The ailing heart cries:
'Love is joy and delight
Why then my feeble beating blight? ! '
Why make me weep at night! ?

The ailing heart sighs and sighs
For It tragically knew
Love is not its foe
That life dies!
Like a rose-
When not watered every dawn
With love's dew.

I think I understand what you are trying to portray through this poem, that love is lost when not tended to and adorned upon. I would really like to here the sorrow of the ailing heart from you though! :) Good work, I love it!
