An Ally For This World Poem by Giggy HIKIT

An Ally For This World

Rating: 5.0

All around me are the words of how dark and cold the world is. The number of useless names I don’t know or need, the overflowing sounds of today and the next. When I think about it, I feel lonely. A feeling so overwhelming, I’ll drown if someone doesn’t save me.

But then you saved me that day. The day I was about to break and fall apart. You picked up those shattered pieces of my once being, and put them back together for me.

I’m able to have one ally right? If that’s possible, please let me keep you within reach.

I worry about tomorrow, because I want to hold on to the you that belongs to me today. So I pray that tomorrow will be the same.
So will you stay by me, because with you this dark world has brightened to a shade of grey?

All around me are the words of how dark and cold the world is, but is it okay for me to hope for a brighter future? I’m sick of looking at a blanket of black. Those useless names are struggling, as are you and I. The overflowing sounds aren’t needed, because I hear countless of unspoken words that pass through the minds of everyone around me.

So if I wish for the same tomorrow, does that mean this grey will stay with me forever?

So then I’ll hold onto today, and greet tomorrow with the hope that the world became a little less dark while I slept.

With you this future is possible, for you this future is worth something.
So stay by my side, my one true ally.
