An Ally In Your Thoughts Poem by Benjamin Chiu Uy

An Ally In Your Thoughts

An Ally to Your Thoughts

and i am boundto beauty
the color of your young
skin in the eyes of a green summer

the color of earth, when life was created
when life bloom with the flowers and the trees
like sentinels standing from a billow of your voice

like thunder and skies,
the immeasurablequantities of the stars and its galaxies
i felt the power of your presence

the brooding dark, infurate anger of your torrential rains
the blackest pessimism of your prayers and genuflections

when death and destructions and pillages
abandon your commandments and your calls.

all day in the quest of these wanderings
i become an ally in your thoughts.
the mirrorof your soul.

i wept at the dissolutions in your image
the futility beyond this beauty

the defacing walls of Jerusalem.
