An Angel Poem by David Blake

An Angel

Rating: 5.0

The shapeless shadows that so
often dance in my head,
vague impressions of the
memories we once shared.
So often I take notice of
them on nights like this when
so calmly the voices call out
in the silence of the night.
Dragging my secret desires
into the twinkling of candle
light, in your arms I am
unashamed and free. Taking
no comfort in this world of
unbelief and fear, I must
return from my dreams, to
live with my regret.
