An Angel With The Darkest Eyes Poem by AnnaLynn Veryl

An Angel With The Darkest Eyes

Rating: 5.0

From the first time I saw you
With your dark, soulful eyes
A need rose inside me
That I could not disguise

A need to quench your thirst for love
A need to protect and hold
To tuck your little frame to mine
And never let you go.

To see your pink, bow lips rise
In a smile just for me
To see you laugh and giggle
So innocent and carefree

Your fingers wrapped around my neck
Your feet around my waist
Your name is written on my heart
In a pattern that you traced.

Your soul shines like the brightest star
Like a rose among the thorns
Too precious for the world of dark
I want to hide you in my arms

You are a little angel
Sent down from up above
Mischief in the darkest eyes
And the whitest soul of a dove
