An Early Arrival Poem by Alison Gaff

An Early Arrival

Baby you caught me by surprise
I haven't got your poem done
Thought I'd have another week
Before you would come

But you have arrived all safe and sound
And mummies OK too
Now I can't wait, till I come down
And say hello to you

Mummy said your five - thirteen
But don't forget the half
I hope that I would see you soon
Even if its just a photograph

You should have been a monster
As you were due on Halloween
But lets hope that you're more angel
All calm, quiet and serene
