An Email Memory Poem by Ray Hansell

An Email Memory

A mysterious email
Floated into my box
The sender unknown
The writing unorthodox

I could tell by the style
I knew it so well
At that very moment
My heart began to swell

A long lost friend
To me that's what you are
When amongst all the others
You are the brightest star

The respect I feel inside for you
Is the very highest of regards
But no longer talking with you
Has left my heart with scars
