An Empty Basket Poem by Mpho Nkadimeng

An Empty Basket

Basket full of empty words
Telling me what i terribly envy
Is still full of empty satisfaction
From empty promises you made
With an empty heart
That I accepted with an empty mind
So blind full of love
From my ever love desiring heart
That fills my mind with empty thoughts
Of empty memories we had
Leaving me with a destiny filled with empty dreams
In a cold steam of boiling water
In an empty basket
That has nothing
But empty words that you used
To manipulate my heart of love
To deceive my mind full of confusion
That travelled from an unknown destination
With a basket full of your words
