Forever Poem by Mpho Nkadimeng

Forever

Rating: 2.5

Forever this wait would seem
Cherishing memories titled before my eyes
Only spent in segregation of your parted soul
It would feel to be once again I’m alone
Your flesh divorced your identity
And now time seems to have no maturity
As moments mean nothing in this space
Forever will this be the case?

Juggling my wall with dozens of picture frames
Baring emptiness as a timeline
Each spotless center piece squeezing my eye side
Relating to the cold future my soul will be facing
With a smug of your presence fading
Till drops of no rain cultivate my slate

I guess human life is a greater enroller of pain
Forever would it be insane?
For a blissful song to play
Without bringing forth the worth of your name
Forever know
My ultimate crave lies in your absence
A shell preserving the worth of my existence
I guess memories don’t last when time unfolds
But forever your season will remain a story to be told.
