An Enigma Poem by June FeirCruz

An Enigma

Rating: 5.0

You distrust everything I say to you
None of my sincere words reaches your heart
You see my lips move, but you hear nothing of what I have to say
My attempts to reach you, fall into deaf ears
And I wait again for another day.
A times selective listening is what you do
Hearing what you wanted, but they aren't the words that I have uttered
But you also do such kind and thoughtful things for me
That it feels as though we'd last for eternity.
I feel you pull my heart strings
And I could never resist you.

Feeling the way around a new relationship, tentative, doubtful and yet compelled by some invisible force. Will she or won't she?

Why do people fall in love so blindly sometimes? It's good to have poetry to the rescue...your readers can feel your passion. And listen to you. Very touching write, sir.: -)
