An Enigma Poem by Ajit Das

An Enigma

Rating: 5.0

You claim your evolving apish origin,
still striving to be a superman.
And you debunk any divine trace
in your passage into the world.
You argue: it's all illogical, unfounded,
not driven by any rational theory.

If that be so, how can you explain
a blind girl memorizing the holy book
of another faith, not reading it on Braille,
but listening to her master and reciting?

Do you find any missing divine link
to your worldly logical existence?
Perhaps you will concede: it's an enigma,
shrouded in mystery beyond comprehension.
