An Enviable Watch Poem by Dallin Bruun

I wanted an enviable watch
'a timepiece'
but Rolex is so cliché

so I studied watch makers
on the Internet
at work

there's about 10 or 15 better
I don't really know

but I did find the very best brand
Patek Phillipe
so I bought myself one for Christmas

I wore it around
but nobody asked about it
and when I brought it up
and explained why it was better than a Rolex
nobody cared

it pretty much just sits in my top drawer
