An Exact Figure Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

An Exact Figure

Exact figure

Lord, now only spring
And quickly bring
Respite from all heats
For being unlocked from cruel fate

Yes, some hope on the horizon
It may shower peace on the regions
Where dark clouds were raining deaths
Now there is little easy breathe

First prayer in church under ruins
First prayer of Namaz* in mosques
Tears rush on cheeks
This I always wanted to seek

The devil may be on run
How many souls rested after use of guns?
No one knows exact figure
But may be many more

Let us wish and pray
Their souls rest in a way
That suits honor to martyrs
They were confined to indoors

*Namaz: - Prayer by Muslims

Akhtar Jawad An appealing poem, we all love peace, very few like wars. Unlike · Reply · 1 · 21 mins
