An Old Piano Poem by banamala sen

An Old Piano

Morning!
An old Piano in front of me!
Try to bring back the music when I used to dance like a butterfly, and glide like a swan!
No cares in the world touched me!
Lost those days!
Look outside through my front window -
The world moves as it should be,
although it's raining non-stop,
The tall branches of Maple swaying in the wind,
Still now the tree is bare, like a broken-hearted grieving mother, who lost her family, and extending arms to the sky in prayer.
Come back my music, I will live as long as you are,
In My Life!

Lovely poem. Anybody who has some interest in music and dance can appreciate the richness it brings to life. Thank you Banamala. Glad to know you through your poetry. Also thank you so much for your recent comment on my poem Chinese proverb and my thought. It means so much.

You are absolutely right, Savita. other than poetry, I am very passionate about music and art, which I think, reflects in my poems. It's great to know you and your poems! Thank you.
