An Old Style Brick Home Poem by Francis Duggan

An Old Style Brick Home

Rating: 5.0

An artist or writer would love this sort of a place
Where Nature has the smile of peace on her face
Away from the traffic and noise of the street
On the verge of the wood where peace and beauty meet
Where the songs of the birds are carrying in the breeze
An old style brick home in the shade of the trees
Brown butterflies do seem to dance as they fly
In the sunny warmth of the Summer sky
An unpolluted place that is peaceful and green
An artist on canvas would capture this scene
Or a poet of such beauty a great poem would write
That others would feel happy for to recite
An old style brick home at the verge of the wood in the shade of the trees
The people who live here must know of heart-ease.
