PSALM OF THESE DAYS
Before breakfast birds
Between grain of mouth
And fruit of pencil
Lie human smudges
Sprightly erasures
Artful revisions
Searching east west
For thoughts prehensile
After postprandial drain
Double visions
Editorial censures
Long-held grudges
Break the chain
Let the birds attest
Shut your mouth
Receive the Words
