An Uncertain Tomorrow Poem by Randy McClave

An Uncertain Tomorrow

Tomorrow is not ever promised
Only now is ever guaranteed,
So, don't ever be an alarmist
Looking for tomorrow's promise or its deed.

Tell them that you love them today
Don't wait for tomorrow or next week,
And please never forget to pray
You might lose that person you did seek.

Don't wait to tell them you love them tomorrow
Better always do it at the present moment,
The next day might be full of sorrow
Don't ever wait for giving a happy bestowment.

Tomorrow might not ever arrive
And next week might not ever show up,
Today is the very moment that you are alive
And only now are you drinking from life's cup.

Tell them all how you truly feel
And don't every decide just to wait,
Those words alone can truly heal
And God only knows of our destiny and our fate.

So, always live for the now
Don't wait for tomorrow or next week or next year,
And always remember this anyhow
Tomorrow, you or them may not even be here.
