An Ungodly Man Poem by Randy McClave

An Ungodly Man

A liar can say that he truly loves God
And he knows that he doesn't mean it,
He doesn't obey the teachings of the Lord
But, that fact he won't ever admit to it.
He does not obey what the Lord tells him to do
But, he eagerly listens to the Devil instead,
He locks the lord out of his heart and soul
And he allows the Devil in his head.
A sinful man can recite the scriptures
A godly man will always follow and obey them,
While a sinful man will say that he is a Christian
But, never not once to the lord does he sing a hymn.
The greatest commandment is to love your Lord and God
With all your heart and all your soul and all your mind,
And the second commandment is just like this
Love your neighbor, as you love yourself and be kind.
A sinful man will always hate and lie and judge
And he will always follow the false prophet,
Especially when it leads him to hate and sin and what he believes in
Or when it helps making himself or others a profit.
When a sinner is in heaven and is judged by God
God will say why did you do what you should had never done,
I had sent you warnings and and I sent you many signs
But, from me you just turned around and did run.
An uncaring man will swear and will always curse
But, the hairs on his head he cannot ever count,
An uncaring man will smoke and he will get drunk
And his every penny he knows the exact amount.

An ungodly man will say that he is a Christian
But, never is he asking for forgiveness or praying,
A parrot can also say that it's a Christian and that it loves God
But, it too doesn't know what it is saying.
