An Underground Limestone Cave: Wetsuit Adventure Poem by Terence George Craddock

An Underground Limestone Cave: Wetsuit Adventure

how to start an underground adventure
rock up to the departure location on time
get personalized sized for a tight fit wetsuit
receive gloves booties to keep hands feet warm
depart to changing rooms change into wetsuit
get fitted out with a protects head helmet with light
provides light after entering an underground cave
then depart on a bus in sized wetsuit with helmet

a nice drive in to parking lot tour group boards train
riding in carriages on rain forest rail track to station
arrive at walking track organized depart in single file
a beautiful 15 to 20 minute forest walk over swing
bridge through rain forest pick up tube to carry on way
to steep slog up a short cliff face to limestone cave mouth

rest up for awhile enjoy the view then descend into cave
view many beautiful speleothems stalactites stalagmites
purity stunning glossy white stalactite stalagmite formations
as dark descending ever deeper underground with scenic stops
reach darkness an underground stream form human tube train
gently kick off into current gently float drift in total darkness
passing silent through a narrow passage floating in darkness
floating emotive silent time liquid floating in cave darkness

into a cavern of sudden surprise glow worm roof galaxies
a universe of light point beauty adorns cave roof blackness
unseen as glow worms awe light up wonder child imaginations
nothing prepares for heartbeat awe in glow worm revelations
psyche awe struck in womb floating unfamiliar manifestations
feel pulse spiritual halfway through trip cave tour adventures
