An Undying Belief Poem by Namita Rani Panda

An Undying Belief

A golden leaf in Autumn I'm
falling slowly so forlorn,
twisting and turning
swaying and spinning
silently drifting
in my last performance:
a solo dance
to the tune of wind,
so cool and kind
before I depart
to win your heart
with an unfulfilled wish
to be soothed by your dewy kiss,
yet with an undying belief
to be yours in another life.
