Anatomy Of Smiles, Exposed - Poem by shel cope

What women hear from
any man who loves them
is a suicide note.

Your sentimental irony,
like first love's bite
still healing,
leaves my breakfast spoiled.

Parenthetically speaking, that is,
she added with a smile.

The irony is powerful. The story, a personal one methinks. Great gripping poetry.
