Ancestors Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Ancestors

I had heard about ancestors
And their tale of valor
The glorious past with golden inscription
And real contribution

Where are we today in comparison?
When come across such revelation
They were really great
We have no such treasure in our fate

My parents used to tell
Their period was so well
People used to visit daily
And seek answer to lead happily

I could only visualize
And dramatize
The scene in mind
To feel its real kind

Yes, we have lot more to learn
When situation turns
In favor or against
It is always in best interest
